Vom Ozzy-messageboard: "Had an interesting experience on sunday that I thought I might share. When towing a moth alongside a rescue boat make sure its on the leeward side! To cut the story down a bit, we all know it got kinda windy on sunday. After off loading my rig onto another yacht. I was getting towed in the normal fashion with the wing resting on the side of the tinnie with 3 people holding it. Everything was going like normal when a freak gust hit. This resulted with my boat lifting clear of the water. with 3 people holding the other wing it was effectively rigidily connected to the tinnie. This resulted in those 3 people also being lifted up and hence the tinnie as well. The end result was my boat lifting the tinnie up, then clearing the tinnie in the air, in the process lifted the tinnie enought to completely capsize it. This resulted with a rescue boat upside down with 4 people righting it and me swimming after my boat. I was rescued by another boat and the 1st rescue boat righted bailed out and suprisingly the motor was fine. The only damage to either boat was that we lost the radio out of the rescue boat as it sank!" guet gaohn berth

Was is denn ein "tinnie" (mein Wörterbuch gib da nur blecherne Erklärungen)> Mir haben die mal einen 20er Tampen zum abschleppen angeboten, gekoppelt mit der Anweisung endlich mein Großfall zu lösen (wurde sogar bösartig vorgetragen). Aber das Ding hier ist eigentlich kaum zu toppen. Michael

An der Maas hats aber so geblasen das ich kaum aus dem Hafen rauskam. Rettungsboote hatte es da keine gegeben. So viel bin ich seit meinen Anfaengen nicht mehr geschwommen. Mehrmals hats mich trotz meiner 90kg einfach so umgepustet ... das war ein Spass. Nils traeumt ... |-)
